hello i have a 773 with a traction problem. it will not unlock the traction i have to push the overide traction to move it but it will only work for a minute or so then shut down. i also dont have used of the hyfraulics while i do the overide. took it to our local bobcat dealer they told me that the bobcat as several codes, and that they found the engine harness is shorted to ground. so they want to replaced the harness. Does any one know what can be the issue?

It could be a few things, if its showing shorts to ground you need to find the points and repair them.
Its possible a seat or seat bar sensor is not working right, it will lock you out and you need to press the traction lock overide button.

I assume it has a panel on the dash with an LCD display?
If so, jump in, turn the ignition on, don't need to start it. Lower the seat bar, the seat bar light should come on, if not you have a sensor issue. It should be located at the pivot point of the seat bar, look for wires. It may or may not have a seat sensor, if you lif the cab, look under the seat for 3 wires, if there aren't any, you don't have one.
I hope that makes some sort of sense.

seat bar light doesnt turn on, i put a tester on the wires and none of them as any power to them. i have a s250 and one of the wires comes on when you turn on the switch.

Hi amigosdemo, As Tazza said, you will have to locate the breaks, repair and insulate before going any further. The rear of the seat to your right (when sitting in it) is normally the culprit as the seat rubs against the wiring loom. There are other places but you will have to do each area then move on to the next.

i didnt find any seat sensor on it. i disconnected the plug going into the seat bar sensor and found that it doesnt have any power when you turn on the switch. im trying to trace it back to see it their is any damage to the wire.
