2000 773 parking brake has been a bit glitchy staying on when unlock button is pushed after bar is in down position but usually goes off after a bit of jiggling the machine. Yesterday though the solonoid is not getting any power and there is no click when the green button is pushed when the bar is down BUT it clicks and disengages when the bar is up but of course then the bucket won't move. the bar has to be totally in the up position for the brake to disengage, not just part way up. The solonoid appears to be fairly new. Have no idea how to disengage the brake totally until the problem is solved as it isn't needed. Thinking it might be a bad connection in the panel where the green button is. The seat sensor has been disconnected totally and the parking brake foot brake also does not work at all although it goes up and down and the push button makes a click. Any suggestions to bypass the brake until I figure out the real problem or suggestions as to what the problem is would be much appreciated.

Sounds like the seat bar sensor is going bad or has some metal particles stuck to it. It's a magnetic switch so sometimes just cleaning them will help. New sensors don't cost very much.

Thanks - tried to clean it but no luck. The brake release switch isn't great even when the bar is up but I can get it to work at least. Will replace the seat bar sensor switch first and then see how things go.
