At my wits end. I bought a 773 from an auction and it has problems. Some one removed all the AUX hydraulic tubing and capped the spool valve, so they knew it was in the AUX. when I stat the machine and it traction button all the lights come on. lift and tilt do not work. But if I hit the AUX switch and hold the button on the stick to the left I hear the motor rev up and the lift and curl work just fine. But only while I hold the button. I pulled all 3 solenoids on the valve and test them, They all work. So I tried unplugging both AUX solenoids and the 2 wires on the stick and that did not work with them unplugged lift and tilt still doesn't work. HELP.. I have no idea what to try next. thanks

This won’t help fix the problem but it may get you running…… it sounds like some how the fluid is bypassing in the control valve and with the auxiliary on that is feeding pressure to the lift and tilt. Maybe no spool in the auxiliary?

If you turn on the auxiliary to continuous flow then you should be able to keep using the tilt and lift without holding the switch. To turn on continuous flow you hit the auxiliary button and then press the trigger don’t toggle the switch.

This of course is not how the machine should work so if I were you I would not run the machine this way for extended periods.

I just spent the whole day draining down the fluid , pulling both covers and springs and spool. also pulled both solenoids and found nothing wrong . what I did find is after I start the machine then press that traction lock one of the solenoids activates. so at least now I know its a wiring problem. But can't find a service manual for the F series. all I see is for the G
