773 Hydraulic oil getting into chain case

All new seals in hydro motors. Still looses fluid into chain case. Also replaced both seals around carrier shaft. Need help, Thanks

Well if you've done all that, there is one more item that I can think of.
The shaft in the carrier is center-bored with a pipe plug on the motor end.
I've seen these leak and they are easy to overlook.
Just a thought.

Plugged case drain filters causing excessive back pressure in the motors to get oil past the main seal on the shaft to the chain case? If you replaced the main lip seal on the shaft on the carrier and checked the bolt inside the shaft there is nothing else.....

Is there a spec on case drain. If I leave the case drain lines off and start the machine an put some pressure on the hydr. motor it will discharge oil. Is this normal.

I believe there is a procedure with a spec in the manual. So many oz. or cc in so many seconds or something. Tazza prolly knows off the top of his head. If nobody chimes in, I'll dig it up. Need the first four of your s/n for exact lookup, but I can get by without.

I was always told a small amount is normal for flow, like a trickle but under load it would be higher, also what RPM of the motor...

Thanks for all your help. I found the problem. The main valve assembly was leaking on this thing a month ago. One of my techs rebuilt it and when he put it back in the loader he mistakenly put the case drain line on the wrong outlet causing extreme pressure between the motor and the case. Partly my fault I kind of push my employees to hard. Thanks again.
