773 g series lift/tilt not functioning properly

Hey guys new to the site and also new to heavy equipment. I recently purchased a 2000 bobcat 773 for farm use. This past weekend I attached an auger to drill some post holes and then started having my issues. First thing I noticed was after I disengaged the aux hydraulics switch up on the control panel and lifted my seat bar, the auger bit would begin to spin again. I got the auger off the skid steer and then my lift/tilt functions started acting up. I can raise and dump my bucket but can't lower the arms or lift the bucket. I started to hear a loud humming noise when trying to lower the arms or lift the bucket. I found that when I reengage the aux hyd on the upper left control panel the noise disappears and I regain all normal functions of the arms and functions. Hope somebody can help me with this? just ordered a service and parts manual but don't know where to begin at diagnosing the problem.

I wonder if the aux hydraulics are sticky, meaning they are on or partially on messing with the lift functions.
If you hook the auger back up, see if the issue goes away, the auger may turn, this will mean fluid is still movingwhen not being activated with the thumb switch.

Thanks for the reply, still waiting on a service manual till I dig into this repair. The auger operates fine and so does lift/tilt functions with aux on. I still have the issue of when I cut the aux hydraulics off and lift my seat bar the auger starts to rotate again. Im assuming a sticky valve is mechanical and not electrical in nature? Is there a simple way to free up a valve and what to inspect for damage?

If the auger is working forward and reverse, the electrics and the mechanical is working as it should. It doesn't still rotate a little when you are not using the thumb switch?
Seems odd that the auger will move a little only after you lift the seat bar....
You could try disconnecting the aux coils and see if the auger still moves with the seat bar up, hopefully not.

No it stops spinning via the hand controls. It's when I turn the aux hydraulics button off and lift the seat bar to get out, the auger will start to spin slowly. Almost as if the aux hydraulics are staying on somehow even tho the control board/light shows them off. Would that be a symptom of the aux hyd valves staying open or issues in the Bics control portion..? I'm still new to this but shouldn't the bics system shut down all the hydraulics to the aux/arms?

When the aux is off, there is no reason for the auger to move, it is as if power is still getting to the coils.
Try disconnecting the two connectors to the coils on the control block, see if the auger moves or not, if it stops, you are getting power to the coils for some odd reason, no idea why.
