My bobcat started acting up and would die after a few minutes then restart so i got a new fuel filter .When i was changing the fuel filter i noticed the primer ball was colapsed .I took the the hose apart and blew air back into the tank not a good idea blew the pickup line off in the tank .I put a piece of hose on in the pickup lines place primed it and it fired right up after a few minutes it died again . It had the similar problems earlier this summer but came out of it

Sounds like the vent in the fuel cap. When the primer sucks down, go over and open cap and i bet the ball will open back up. If this is the case you will need new cap. Hope this helps Wes

Is it still sucking the primer flat?
If not you may have a lift pump issue, see if you can keep it running using the primer to keep feeding fuel to the engine.
If that keeps it running then tear your lift pump apart.
