Hi all, First time on the forum, lots of useful info here which is great. I have a 773G bobcat and i noticed today that what i think is the main belt from the motor to the hydralic pump is starting to squeal. The belt looks like the flat belt which looks about an inch across. I don't have a manual for this unit just yet, but im pretty sure its this one that is squealing, especially under load. Just wondering if there is an idle pulley that can be adjusted or is it a case of a new belt?. The existing belt dosen't look worn at this stage. Thanks in advanced

There sure is, with the plastic cover off, you should see it there putting pressure on the belt. There should be a small pointer on there, it should point to the 3 o clock position if you think of the tensioner as a clock face.

cheers Tazza, I managed to find the diagram in a mates manual, which also explains how to adjust it. It looks like a whole lot of fun trying to get my fat hands in there.. Guess what im doing tonight!

It isn't fun at all, but it's not as bad as you may think. Lift the cab, you may be able to get to the adjustment bolt from the top. Ratchet spanners help when there is little space.
