Have a 773 G series. When I actuate the switch on the right control handle for the aux. hydraulics, I only get a short, maybe 1 second pulse of hydraulic pressure to the 709 backhoe that I am trying to operate, then no pressure. Bobcat moves and lift arms seem to move the ammount that I can move them with the backhoe attached. Seems to be only a problem with the aux. hydraulics. Any ideas? Thanks.

Your pushing the white button on the left dash labeled
“Maximum Flow?Variable Flow” first?
And one of the two orange lights on that button is staying lit?
Usually for a hoe you would push that button 2 times to select “maximaum flow” then you would pull the finger trigger on the front of the RH steering lever to engage the flow to the couplers (hoe) in a continuos mode.

Yes, I push that button. Usually sequence goes, 1)traction unlock, 2)White button once to Variable flow and it stays lit, 3) trigger button on right control handle to engage aux. and operate hoe. I don't push twice to Maximum flow but should this be the setting to operate a hoe? I have never had a problem on Variable flow.

Looks like the problem is diagnosed. Bad auxilliary solenoid on the hydraulic control valve. Supposed to measure between 8.7 and 10.7 ohms, mine measured .5 ohms. Off to the dealer on Monday to get the new solenoid.

I'd swap the 2 solenoids first and see if it really is bad, if you haven't done that yet.

When running my backhoe on my 773 I run it using maximum flow. It operates better that way.
The solenoid was the problem. Installed new solenoid and it works perfectly. I was floored when I found out how much the part was, $178.72 part number 6665084, anyway any one can run this part number past their local bobcat dealer and confirm this as a valid price or did I get screwed. Thanks in advance.

Was that a coil and stem? that seems a bit high for a coil only....
I know for my 753G the coil and stem was about that price as a set.
