Lift arm has little or no down pressure. also detant sticks on peddle. A tap with heel or toe releases it. This happens 2 or 3 times a day but the no down pressure is constant. I pulled the spool and everything appeared normal except the detant spring was slightly deforned so replaced the spring and it helped for about 3 hours. Does anyone know what the problem is?? 2 shops have told me they have never heard of such a thing. Alll suggestions appreciated. --Grant--

If the new spring helped for a little while, my guess would be there is a problem in the detent and your pushing the spool past the down pressure point and into the float area. Try not to move the pedal all the way down and see what happens.
Your lift works fine and does not leak down or anything else goofy??

lift works fine, no leaks. Even when pedal moves, buckets go down slowly with no down pressure. Other poster mentioned detant housing, balls in a grove, etc. Will take another look at things today. thanks. (husband computer illiterate so wife trying to make sense of his comments to post!). more hints welcome!
