Good day all, I am a 'new' loader owner, the 763F we have came with the farm we bought and it's been pretty well abused. I was told it was a 2003, but it could be older and it has about 3400hrs on it. Here is my problem: I was out moving a manure pile today, digging, lifting, hauling, dumping and back blading the stuff, and eventually the loader started acting up. It seems to be wanting to go into float even after I release the pedal. I can hear the pumps loading up, but nothing is moving until I kick the pedals around some, and the pumps unload and I can use the loader for a few moments, then I hear the pumps load up again, and I kick again. Given that it's probably not supposed to be doing that, I kicked my way back to the shop and shut it down. I was wondering if anyone on here has any insight into this problem? Thank you in advance, this forum is a great resource for new and experienced loader owners. Mike

Check and see if your aux hydro is stuck on on my 743 just have to wiggle the right stick back and forth

Left to right all the way not front to back
The aux hydraulics are controlled by the thumb switch.
It's possible a stem is stuck, causing teh aux hydraulics to stay on. Others have made a loop hose with two couplers and see if the problem goes away. If so, you will need to change or clean the stems to fix it for good.

I will give it a try, running the aux and see if that clears anything up. Thanks for the speedy responses, guys. Now, when you say 'stems', can you be more descriptive as to what they are? I am new to skidsteers so I don't yet know what all the jargon is. Cheers.

So, just to be clear as to what loader we are talking about; I have the aux controls on the right tiller bar, a 'left and right' thumb switch, and a trigger. I work through the aux controls, and the power loss/sound it's making is more than likely related to the aux controls. When I run the loader with no aux it makes a clicking and laboring noise intermittently. And then when I run the aux controls, it makes the same noises. So does that mean there's a problem in the aux control circuit somewhere? And how do I go about rectifying it? Thanks again. Mike

Like Tazza said get two connectors and hook them to your aux lines with a hose connecting the two then you can use it and troulble shoot to see what is going on could be a short in the switch, bad solinoid, bad wire or a sticky stem to your hydro valve might get lucky and work it back and forth and free itself up

Any luck with your hydro problem?

The stems are the part that sticks up from the control block with a coil that is bolted to them. As they are activated, they move a spool to control the oil flow. If they get stuck or damaged, they can stay on, holding the spool in one direction causing low lift power/speed and a noise from the relief as the oil is stopping at the quick coupler.
Hopefully that gives you a little more detail of what you are looking for.

Are your pedals clean? Do they move freely? How are your bushings where the linkage attaches. Could be the spool is sticking. Is it always one pedal? I would tip cab up and check how everything moves
