Jerry, this is one of my favorite Bobcats, because when you open it up everything is relatively easy to get to.
All G-series machines have at least one controller. If it has the hand or selectable hand/foot controls, it's going to have another complex system. For simplicity and DIYers, you can't beat the straight-linkage foot pedal controls. But the hand controls are very nice when they work right.
I hardly ever see a machine unless it's got a problem. I'm sure for every one I see that is broken, there are many out there that never skipped a beat.
Aside from the normal checking of stuff that is common to all machines, if it has hand controls I would like it best if it had a yellow float button on the left handle. This was not built into the earliest machines, and it was an expensive upgrade. More on that later if it does indeed have hand controls. Get back and I can tell you some more things to look for.
I look on the classifieds here in my area, I don't think that machine at that price would last long on the for sale list.
