I have a 2003 bobcat 763. When I start the machine and hit the "go" button to unlock everything. The word "DOOR" flashes in the hour meter and the arms and bucket will not unlock. The machine is an open cab. It has no cab door to close. I have chased the wire harness from the computer to the left panel and see no chewed wired. Is it possible for the left instrument panel to go bad? I am also getting a fake "empty fuel" warning because the fuel gage on the left panel stopped working. Any ideas would be a great help.

Is the machine flashing any error codes? In case your not familiar how to check for error codes. Press and hold the "light" button for a couple of seconds and the hour meter will flash codes, or say "none".

well in newer machines that have the door, when the door is open you can't move the arms. i'm guessing although your machine doesnt have the door it still must have the wiring somewhere. it must be shorting out. however with the other issue, i'm wondring if you have a bad ground somewhere. i think the door sensor is just a simple ground switch when it latches.

Thanks to both the guys that posted some ideas. I have checked the codes. It was last summer so I am going from memory (never good) its was a 0606 or something like that. When I looked it up in my shop book the code was not listed since the machine did not have the door option. I looked it up on the net and it told me the code was for the cab door. I will take a good look at all the grounds on the machine to see if I can find anything. Maybe I can get lucky. If all else fails I will just add the door sensor wiring to the machine and trick it to think I closed the door. Thanks again guys. You are the only guys to even give out some ideas. I have been at this for over a year now LOL Got to love Bobcat !!!!
