763 jerky steering

We have a older 763 with =/- 4000 hrs on it it has begun to jerk while sitting or m0ving its almost like you have shoved a control forward but havent its dangerous to load or use near anything b/c u never know if it is gonna spin left or right this problem has gradually gotten worse over a 1 month span

I would lift the cab and check were the steering levers connect to the swash plate shafts on the pumps. It sounds like the levers are worn and/or loose on the shafts.
