Getting to know my first skid steer… Bobcat 763 C series - Recently, I started the machine, pressed the lock release and raised the bucket a foot or so. Before could move forward however, the interlock re-engaged. Right now the hydraulics/controls will not operate. After reading online, I thought I was looking at either the seat bar sensor or the sensor underneath the seat. But then I noticed the BICS module for the very first time and it is completely dark (no lights at all). Not certain but I'm assuming it was once previously operating. So, it appears that I need to get the BICS operational but really not sure where to start. Anyone have some troubleshooting steps for this? Also, is there a way to isolate the various sensors one by one to determine if they are working? Thanks!

OK.. That was simple. BICS has power and operating normally after replacing the BICS fuse. Visually, I didn't see a problem, glad I changed it anyway.

Glad you sorted it out easily, the contacts in the fuse box can get corroded and not work, using di-electric grease is a good idea to hopefully ensure it won't happen again.

So now with BICS working, you should see the power light on all the time, the lap bar light should correspond to the lap bar position, and the same with the seat switch. Here's an apparently little-known fact: if you put the lap bar down without the seat switch on first, then engage the seat switch, those two LEDs will light up but the other two lights will not illuminate until about a 10 second delay has occurred. I spent hours tracking down this "intermittent" until I finally caught on to what was happening. What got me started was a seat switch that wasn't adjusted properly. :-) ---Bobbie-G
