I noticed a trail of fluid out of my machine- i flipped the cab up and it is leaking out of the hydraulic pump or control valve (dont really know which it is) on the left as you look at the machine from the front. there is a green cap that seems to have pushed forward and is leaking badly- i pushed it in (back towards the front and it moved a good bit). the machine runs and operates but does leak. any ideas if this is an easy repair or a costly service? thanks.

Sounds like a spool seal is leaking, not a huge job if you have some mechanical know how. Give the area a good clean before you remove anything.
The top one doesn't have anything that will fly out at you, the next one does, when you remove the cap be careful not to loose the detent balls.
You will loose all your oil, so best to drain as much as you can before you start, i do it running at idle and pumping it out the aux quick couplers. When it starts to spit, shyt down.
Remove the allen headed bolts and linkage, pull the cap off the back, grab the spring and pill the spool out. Replace teh seals noting direction, oil it up and do the reverse.

the front side has 2 big orings most of the time. you go by sides when your sitting in the seat so the control valve is on the right side.
