New Owner, tired of renting, bought used 98 bobcat 763F, no boss or high flow with 4-in-1 bucket, 1300hrs, changed all filters and fluids, it worked fine at first?(About a month)Sit in seat, lower lap bar, push hydraulic switch on left panel, bucket up bucket down, tilt up tilt down, moves reverse then forward, want to open bucket use switch on right panel, now toggle on right handle opens and closes bucket, NOW moving dirt, bucket opens, did not do it myself, try to activate accessories switch, will not light up, open lap bar, switch works, close bucket, close lap bar, reactivate left switch, bucket opens by itself, other functions up and down works but is stiff, tilt not working, can maneuver but can still hear bucket opening function trying to work even though it is already full open, this happens over and over, once heard a lot of clicking in what sounded like left rear lower, and all went back to working that day until next time, parked it that day with bucket wide open with tilt all the way forward. I welded a new stack on the muffler a couple of weeks ago to keep soot and heat out of engine compartment, did not know how this would affect electrical components, then found the other end of the muffler blew out, spent yesterday replacing the muffler and exhaust pipe, and I degreased everything and washed it down. When I got in it, all cold, started it, dropped the bar, engaged hydraulics, left side, engaged auxiliary hydraulics, right side, light came on, closed bucket, pulled out of shed, light went back off, right side, and went back to having to raise lap bar to engage auxiliary, and then drop bar, for main control hydraulics, but, the bucket never decided to start opening by itself, I really never got everything to full temperature , after the repairs and wash job and drying time, I have the same results, again last night I did not get it to full temperature

did you disconnect battery when you welded? have heard of things getting fried out after welding on machine
I'd flip the cab and unplug the aux solenoids on the control vavle. There are two. Try running the unit to see if the bucket still opens. If it does, the stem valve the coil slides over is stuck, no electrical problem. If it doesn't, you have an electrical problem. With what you say, I'd look for rubbed threw wires shorting to power.

you scared me when I first read your message but the problem started before I welded on the unit, I did that in case heat or soot was the problem, but thanks

Manual trouble shooter showed voltage problems,,, new battery cables installed, worked the unit for at least two hours shutting it down twice, stopped for thirty min. to nail fence to post, thought I had found the cure, all functions worked normally, almost dark, went to smooth, out a place in the driveway I had roughed up and the bucket opened by itself again, went back to the same problems in first post, too dark to raise the cab, will still try the solenoid disconnect trick
