I would say when you turn the machine off it rests the codes , if it comes back when you start up again then the problem is still there , I remember 47 is the 8 volt curcuit and think 21 would be either high or low voltage , you said you jumped it , I would check the alternator output (13-14.5) and all battery and ground connections to start with
