Help Support Skidsteer:

Got it figured out, broke a link in the right rear drive chain. Anybody know if they make a master link that I can install without the fancy chain tool bobcat references in the service manual?
You can use a standard master link. The tool the manual shows is for installing a regular link and peening the pins to hold the side plate on.
You are installing a new chain right. If the old one broke it will likely do it again.

Unfortunately I am tapped for extra cash flow at the moment so I am going to have to try the master link patch for now and hope it holds for a while. The link that broke was heavily corroded possibly from sitting in water at the bottom of the chain case. I inspected the chain and the rest of it looks fairly good so I am going to have to try it for now. I priced out the chain to replace all 4 chains and it was about 450 bucks, so I am going to have to save a few pennies for a while to make that purchase. Thanks to all for the advise and knowledge to this point, I really appreciate it!!

It's alive once again!! Got the master link installed and put the chain back in. Changed the chain case oil while I was in there. Adjusted the levers and cams on the hydrostatic unit to get the creep out of it. It now stays put when idling. Took it out and put it to work for a couple of hours cleaning horse runs and after tightening the drive belt a bit, everything worked great!! I still need to replace the shaft in the fan drive cause it is bent and causing a leak at the seal behind the pulley. All in all I am VERY pleased with the machine at this point. I need to replace a couple of bushings when I get the time and money but a steady diet of grease should get it by for now. The build tally to this point is $1875.00, sure glad it didn't get scrapped! Now for some paint and cab work.

Fan gear box problem: The Surplus Centre (http://www.surpluscenter.com/) used to have new gear boxes in stock for not a lot of money, but I don't see them in their catalog any more. But give them a call to be sure.
HTH
Thanks for the heads up about surplus center. I called and they sold out of them already. I managed to find a good used fan drive in Texas, so it's on the way. I will work on the picture posting tonight. Thanks again for all the help guys!!
