I have a 753 Melroe bobcat which has in the past been re-wired to bypass the traction control switch. My question is, is the traction control/push to start switch wired the same as the traction control switch as I have a replacement for the first but not the second? I did ask this in my other question but felt it might be missed and it would great to get a definitive result so I can get on and finish the main items so I can then redo the paintwork.

Which lights do you have on the BICS box? It sounds like someone added the push to operate kit and didn't take out the traction lock overide switch. Normally you would have one or the other not both.

The lights are for the traction switch version but the switch itself is not there. I do not believe the push to start switch which incorporates the traction is the correct one and I agree that you would only have the one not both. I was hoping that I could use the traction/push to start switch to replace the missing traction switch. I know that I will have to find where they bypassed the original switch which may be located on one of the relays as I have found two wires coming from an unknown relay (at present) on the bank of four.
