I have a 1996 753. Both my motors are bad. I pulled them off and inspected them. on the bottom of the pump is 3 orings with plastic covers. My center orings were just little granules like coffee grinds. the center oring on 1 motor was missing and the plastic cover was in several chunks. Does this motor require timing? The rollers fell out of 1 motor. Is this bad? There's light marks on the georotor cover. Will that cause problems? will probably touch them up with sandpaper on a piece of glass. Thanks

I had a machine that had Orings like that. I bought new Orings from a seal shop, cost me like five bucks per motor. This will only work if the blactic back up rings are not cracked.
Does this motor have a small dog bone looking gear that links the geroler to the valve plate that is where the fluid comes in? If so, yes it needs timing.
If you need a manual on this, look up my profile and email me, i'll dig up the manual for you.
Loose rollers isn't great, but it does take a lot for it to not work at all.

There not loose when put together. was trying to keep them in the same spots but they decided otherwise. I think the timing thing is getting the notch in the right place. some of my backup rings are in several pieces. between the pump and these motors I'm getting a pretty good education.

They do fall out easily, do your best to hold them in place.
Broken backup rings means you do need a seal kit, loader parts source have seal kits, they should be cheaper than the dealer.
Pretty sure you will need to time this motor when you get the seal kit.
