753 belt help

Was running my 753 today, I heard a loud pop and then it stopped traveling. Upon inspection, the drive belt that comes off the left side of the motor, broke. Called Bobcat and have a new one coming tomarrow. I also ordered the smaller belt that is behind the large one. Just to replace it.I belive its the fan belt... I see the belt routing diagram on the door of the machine, but does anyone have any tips or tricks for this procedure? Thanks ALOT!

No Tricks, just loosen the tensioner, slip the new bet on and tighten up so the pointer is in the correct place. Its really not a hard job to do. Just ensure you tighten the lock bolts or it will rattle loose.

I would check the tension after 10 hours or so as the new belts due wear in and its common for them to loosen up a little. It is a very simple service.

same thing for the fan belt? I see that has an idlier on a spring.

the spring is to keep the tension on the belt..

Fan belts usually don't casue any problems. I have seen the belt keeper (looks like a L bracket) ride against the fan belt and cause premature wear and a rattling noise.
