I have read about 20 posts which sort of describes my problem, however none fit my symptoms. So here we go. When I top off my tank, bleed out the air in the fuel line. My 751 will start and run about 20 minutes then slowly runs out of fuel. I can repeat the above procedure over and over and over with the same results. I am hoping someone can point me to the problem instead of me wildly replacing parts. Thanks in advance. AsForMe

If you have read all those posts, you should have seen that pretty well each one of them was due to a cracked fuel pickup tube. Lift the cab, reach behind the pump and find the two lines going into the fuel tank. One is a return, the other is the pickup. Pull the pickup out and replace the hose going into the fuel tank.

Like Tazza said, this is one of my he most common problems that you will encounter with a 20+ year old Bobcat. And tons of posts with this as the final cause. The fuel line hardens with age and exposure to fuel, leading to cracks, or even breaking off completely. I have replaced mine twice, first time as an expedient repair, which did not last long. The second time, I spent the $10 and bought the tubing and clamps from Bobcat. The little pickup filter had to be retrieved from the bottom of the tank with a three pronged grabber tool. Good luck! - SR

often overlooked. the jet valve.. little thumb wheel. open to bleed close to run. have never been able to put rhyme or reason as to why some units wont run with it open. but its a fact. conguctere would be it limits fuel return back pressure. therefore lettining fuel inlet pressure build. theory only.
