743B Strange hyd fluid leak

My machine has been working great since I did LOTS of work on it last winter. I used it helping cutting fire wood at a property I have, loaded it on the trailer and brought it home. I unloaded it and parked it in the shop. Next day I needed to move it forward a few feet and afterward saw it was leaking oil form the right drive motor cover, more than a dipping leak, more of a running leak. I put a pan under it and quit for the day. Next day I lifted the cab and looked and saw no sign of a leak inside, put the cab down and have used it 2 days with not a drop of a leak. What could that be? Bill B

That is a strange one I would pull the cover only four bolts and clean it up and take a look

Check all your fluids it might be a leak from your gear box seal up hi and when you took it off the trailer the angle was high enough

A running leak like that could be a bad hose. They crack and ooze like that. Hopefully it is as easy as a bad hose.

I had a load of gravel delivered yesterday, ran it an hour or so, not a drop of a leak on the shop floor after it sat all night. The day it happened I had loaded it backward, rather steep, but there was no oil on the trailer when I unloaded it. Still a mystery to me. Thanks guys.

I can't remember did you fix the two steel lines that cross at 90 that I told you about when you had your engine out?

If it was sitting on a steeper angle, it could have just been residue from when it was worked on last. The other thing it could be is leaking out of the chain case breather or cover. I'd like to check that the chain case oil level is right, if it is high, it could leak a little out of the breather.
On level ground, remove the plug at the front of the chaincase, the oil should be level with the threads or you can just feel it with your finger.

antfarmer2, I did replace those 2 hard lines and 1 more, I think it went to the cooler.

Tazza, I did check the area by the chain case vent it is dry. The machine has not had any leakage since this happened, and I did use it for an hour or so moving gravel yesterday with not a drop on the shop floor after parked over night. So all is well for now. Thanks for your help, Bill

Any time Bill those are the same lines I did but still has me scratching my head the only thing I can come up with is to keep some extra oil around if you go to far from home to get it back on the trailer
