Message: <blockquote data-quote="Chessie" data-source="post: 140692" data-attributes="member: 21571">From the rear (after you open the rear "hatch"), the lift pump is on the left side of the engine....  easy access.  Look for fuel hose going into it (from the filter,  which is on the right side of the engine compartment... you can "trace" this hose) and out of it,  up to the injection pump.  I belive that this pump bolts into the engine with a couple of bolts and has a little arm that sticks into the engine block that is activated by a cam as the engine rotates. If you have a replacement in hand,  you can complete this task in less than 1/2 an hour... but take this opportunity to inspect the fuel hose,  and perhaps to change the fuel Filter.....good luck.</blockquote>
