Anyone have a good lift cylinder for a 743b (left side as you site in the seat)?

I am east of Richmond/Fredericksburg Virginia.

Anyone have a good part number and advise on replacement?

Many thanks,

Mike

Here is a link to the parts catalog:

You can find the part number and then do an internet search to find compatible cylinders. I did this years ago on my 742B and it worked fine. My biggest problem was removing the pins that had worn down. My cylinder attachment points were also worn to the point of needing a new cylinder. So you may also need to get new pins.

You may also want to consider replacing both lift cylinders at the same time to keep the machine lifting evenly.

Is the lift cylinder bad or does it just need to be rebuilt?

Thanks for the information.

Is the part number stamped onto the cylinder? I don't have a parts manual...

The connector on the cylinder is welded in on one end and the other connects to the hydraulic hose. The connector is cracked. I know that the connector can be cut and drilled out and a new one welded. Would be easier to just replace.

OK, I looked up the part number using the link to bobcat that you provided.

Why does bobcat want $1,716 for a lift and ebay list them for around $260????

Yeah, Bobcat is hit and miss with prices. I have gotten some really good deals from Bobcat though. You just have to check.

Aftermarket parts you have to be careful about because there is some real crap being sold for cheap. Try to find a reputable store or seller.

You can also find used and rebuilt cylinders and other parts here and there.
