does anyone know if the oil pan, and intake and exhaust manifolds off of a kubota 1702 in a 743 fit a 1902 kubota out off a reefer. I need an engine for mine and have a chance @ buying this 1902 with 1800hrs on it for 600.00. what do you think? thanks kory

According to some answers in this post http://www.skidsteerforum.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=54&frmView=ShowPost&PostID=8729 the 1902 is a replacment for the 1702 if you change the oil pan(sump).
Thanks, Old Machinist is there anything you don't know? I will let you know how it turns out

The manifolds may need to be swapped over too.
Being a reefer, you may also need to remove the throttle up slenoid. Its there to speed the engine up to pump more refrigerant then throttle back to idle when its not needed. Only slight differences should be there. Others have used them before, there is a guy on ebay selling them with instructions of what needs to be done to make them fit.

I just remembered that someone else had asked the question and did a search. I also knew that Tazza would come along and comfirm it too.
