Should new rubber mounts be installed when replacing u joints ?End yoke has some rust as pump spline.These should probably be replaced as well?.I read lower lines should be suspect to pin holes.Do not want to do this for a while.Am going to replace all spool valve seals with motor out.

What rubber mounts do you mean, engine mounts? If they still look ok, no real reason why you need to do that if they are.
I'd only change the spline if it was really bad, a bit of rust is fine, clean and paint it to stop it rusting further.
The tube lines, with the motor out, give it a good clean, if you find any rust, clean it off and paint, if any are deep, you can use a torch and add some bronze to the pitted area. I have done a few like this that were either worn, or had pitting from rust.
