The impeller is peened on to the shaft. And by the looks of the peening it was done with a very high tonnage press or the hammer blow process. NADDA!You can, i have done it before but you will need to look at parts prices. You will need a new shaft and bearing assembily and machine it to size. You will also need a new seal and wear bush. I think when i did mine it cost about $30. I don't know what you will have to pay for the parts now though as this was through a mate in a bearing shop so the price was rite.
The genuine Kubota water pump can be rebuilt using parts from a Bobcat dealer or a Kubota tractor dealer. fyi they have one on ebay seems to be legit for 112.00 plus 13.00 for shipping. Provided the Body is OK you will need a new bearing, seal set, snap ring, gasket and possibly an impellor. The impellor just a press fit in the shaft.
