743/v1702 shutoff solenoid

Hey folks. The pull know broke off my shutoff cable and ita getting pretty sticky for that matter. Has anybody upgraded to an electric shutoff solenoid? I see Amazon has one listed for a 743/v1702 but I'm guessing it requires a different bracket then the mechanical shutoff. Before I start fabricating brackets has anybody on here done this conversion? There are some cheaper universal solenoids, and if i have to make a bracket anyways I might go the cheaper route. Thanks Spencer

I cobbled one together a few years back using a generic solenoid. I wired the pull coil to the starter, the hold to the keyd power. It worked up the the day i sold the machine.
