I have a 743 bobcat. The entire unit has been rebuilt. I bought it from a guy literally in boxes. Most items were rebuilt ( engine/ pump/ drive.
I reassembled everything with factory manuals which came with unit.
I went ahead and rebuilt or replaced nearly everything else.
The u joint cardavan joint has broken 3 times now. Last time, I replaced splined yoke adapter, entire joint and adapter plate that mounts on flywheel. Lasted about 3 months and very little use this time. I have enclosed photos. Each time it appears the joint is binding on the flywheel adapter plate and the yoke coupling . I am at a loss and tired of tearing this thing down regularly. It also appears the yoke it not entirely buried on the pump splines by the wear pattern. If it is not buried deep enough, I would see where I could get out of round swing in U joint, causing caps to crash into mounts and break. Is there a spacer or something missing that extends the yoke farther onto the pump splines? Engine and pump line up with mounting holes easily and hardware drops right in.
I am hoping with all the knowledge here maybe I could get some help
