replaced the starter solenoid on my 743B. When I attach the negative cable to the battery, sparks fly and the starter engages. What is wrong and how do I fix it? Thanks.

My 743 has two solinoids to start one on the starter that I think you just replaced look at the small termanal and unhook the wire that goes to the other solinoid the ford looking one then hook up your neg bat then touch the wire from the ford looking one it sounds like it will start then.......replace the ford looking one it is locked up

That makes sense. I will try it as soon as I can get the solenoid switch. Thanks.
