I have an older 743 that seems to loose power at certian times. When I am moving snow and go to back up it will power down, almost like throttling down and then catch and rev back up. it will do this also if I try to push to much snow, I would thing the tires would just spin instead. Any Ideas!!!!

The fuel pick up line may be cracked and when you reverse direction it's sucking air. You can replace a section of the fuel line after the primer bulb and look for bubbles or just pull the pick up line out and inspect it.
The problem of losing power while pushing too much snow may just be the engine getting tired. Try pushing up against a tree and see if it bogs down or the tires spin.

Thanks for the comments, I just put a new pick up line in the tank, it did it before and is still doing it. I also put a new fuel pump on it and that fixed the problem of it not starting. I will have to try the tree trick, what are you thinking if it spins the tires or not?

You should be able to get the tyres spinning in the dirt. This will show that your engine and hydrostatics are strong. You won't be able to push the steerling levers all the way forward, but you still should be able to get them going. It will not do this on sticky surfaces like bitumen or concrete.
