Scratching my head on this one, left foot pedal linkage pivot bar (that goes under the pump) has a worn out bushing that makes the pedal very sloppy. Pivot bolt is under the pump, there seems to be no way to access the pivot bolt and bushing without removing the pump. Anyone have a suggestion?

Sadly there is not great access to the bolt, you can try removing the front two mounts and seeing if you can pry it up enough to get it off, but i doube it.
To do the job right, the pump really needs to come out to get good access. The biggest issue i have had is when you try and tighten the bolt up, it can un-screw into the chain case a litle.

Thanks for the reply Tazza! Do you know if I can get to the other end of the bolt via the chaincase? (remove the cover and somehow snake my and in there to get a wrench on it? Thanks Rollin

You can, but not sure if you can get to it from the park brake cover, the rear cover, that is obscured by the pump is the ideal cover to gain access.
The other thing is, if it does back off into the chain case a little bit, it shouldn't be a huge deal as the bolt tightens up on a spacer, so being backed off a little, it will still hold snug.

Thanks, when it warms up a little here I'm going to unbolt the pump bracket, loosen the motor mounts and try and jack the pump up an inch or so to get some working clearance. If that doesn't work I'll try and unscrew the bolt into the chaincase via the parking brake cover. Thanks for your help, I'll post my results here.
