Ive been asked to help figure out why the park brake on a friends 1988? 743 Stopped working. Was fine one day the next there was no park brake. For now he adjusted the threaded rod next to the pedal but says it still isnt "right" I'm unfamiliar with a bobcat. Worked on forklifts for years so the working on equipment isnt a issue. Before I begin tearing into it is there anyplace I can download a manual for it? I usually like to have a idea of whats involved before making a mess of things.

I can send you the pages of the service manual that covers the parking brake system but need to know if its a early model(1 piece axle) or late model(2 piece axle). Looking at the center of the wheels is there a large bolt holding the wheel flange on?

Thank you. I believe from looking at a picture that it is the one piece axle. The machines a couple hours north currently on a quick job. Here is a picture of it from this summer to verify. http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc395/Cougar20th/P1010152.jpg

It looks like a one piece axle. There's no email contact info in your profile to send you the service manual pages.
