Have new seals for the lift arm and am looking for suggestions on loosening the cylinder head. Resealed the other side last year and needed a 4 foot pipe wrench with an 8 foot pipe on the handle in order to break it loose (even after heating with a torch). Because it is aluminum, it cost $200 to get a new one. Should I just go ahead and get a new head or is there a trick to breaking them loose?

On really bad ones, i have heated, hit around it with a hammer, penetrating oil, some loosen others just sit there and flip me off and i need to drill them out.
Try heat and a wrench, if it fails, you will need a new one :(
I actually have to do one for someone that i sold a machine to, i'm really not looking forward to it as i'm pretty sure it will need drilling out, i have done one before, and it was no fun at all.
