743 Leader bucket teeth

Hi everyone, Looking to replace teeth on a 743 leader bucket but can't find any info anywhere. They do not have a pin, but slide onto the adapter and are pressed into small indents. Can anyone tell me what this variant is called, where I can get them in Australia and the best way to press the retaining part in? Thanks heaps

I had a bucket like that too, no idea where to get the teeth though Not sure how you are meant to get the indents into them, or if they are already like that and you just belt the snot out of them to get them to clip into place.
I got teeth and shanks from norm buckets up here in Brisbane, sadly they are not cheap, but it makes the bucket dig really well.

Thanks for the reply Tazza, I am thinking along the same lines now, and just swapping the tooth adapters to a more common setup.

That's a better plan. The worst part is removing the old teeth and shanks. Every time i try and remove some off machines i have had over the years, i end up covered in burns from sparks when i'm chopping at them with the plasma cutter or oxy torch.
I know i don't use my machine enough to ever wear a new set of teeth out

You make it sound like so much fun. My bucket leading edge is probably due for a birthday, so I will be looking at replacing it with a new one...

no need to do that. i bought replacement teeth for one my old buckets a few years back. they had crimp on teeth over the shanks. the shanks i bought had the pin hole, and they also had a spot where i heated with a torch for a sec and pounded it with a punch.

Heat them first, well i never thought about that and wondered how you'd get it to stay in place..... Simple!
