I have a 743 that has me stumped. When I purchased the 743 it motor ran fine but it would not drive or lift but it would free wheel easly. I first thought it was the u joint between motor and the pump but it looks fine so I pulled off the front pump and cranked the motor and the front shaft turns fine and the pump gears looks good. So I started to move the foot pedals and the right lever side to side and I noticed the spool valve would not move in or out on all 3 spools and the safty lap bar locks were down. I cant move the spool in or out even with a prybar. the bobcat is not rusty and it is not frozen. I have bought fixed and sold dozens of 743's and this has me stumped.. thanks

It could be that the balls in the cap on the control block has worn and the balls and spring have wedged it in place. Can you un-do the cap on the back of the control block and rotate the spool?
But for all of them to be stuck is odd. Is the oil the correct colour? i guess they could have frozen up with rust, but its doubtful as its running is oil.

wow , a wild guess ===I think you may have two seperate problem and maybe they are connected , for it to free wheel you may have broke the shaft inside the pump or totaled out the rotating group and trash may have went thru the system and a chunk is stuck in the spool
