Hi All. I have a 743 with Kubota v1702 that hasn't been run in a couple of years. Engine is running well now and I took care of the only hydraulic leak I could see, which was the tilt cylinder. This thing makes a lot of noise when lifting and some when tilting. A little bit of chatter when lifting too. No noise from the hydrostatic drive. I've added a video of lifting with audio. I have no pressure testing equipment, and before I start tearing into things, looking for any quick and easy suggestions to check? Below is my next steps unless someone suggests otherwise:
- Hydraulic fluid is full (at first I thought the noise was just air needing to burp out).
- I've run it and cycled up, down, tilt about 20 times in full range, still noise.
- Since I can hear the noise, both with lifting and tilting, but not from the drive system, I am thinking the vane pump. (maybe remove, disassemble and inspect?)
- Seems to be a little slow going up, so maybe one of the lift cylinders is lagging, so maybe reseal (internal leak?).
