I am working on the bobtach (described as 'old style 40' in the parts manual) and am trying to rebuild the bushing and arm where the bobtach attaches to the left arm as viewed from the operators seat. both the hole in the lift arm and the bobtacch were severely "ovaled" out. I have removed the ring from the bobtach ane have ground the weld down to be flush with the plate. I am looking for and cannot be able to find the remnants of part 6565326 - weld in bushing. What I would like to find out is the dimensions of the weld in bushing - length, ID and OD to assist in removing this part and to allow me to fabricate a replacement. Thanks, Richard

Mine were bad like yours, i had to use the plasma to remove the weld in boss. I made new ones to suit the bushings. I don't have sizes, but if you measure it before you cut it out and make it a press fit, you can't go wrong. The hardest part is makeing sure they are welded in true or they will fight eachother.

I have been working with my lathe to make the rings (boss) on each side. The worst one has been cut off and ground down even with the surrounding metal plate. The other side , which I thought was good- wasn't. But I will cut and grind that one off as well. The rings I am making will be sized for the press fit for the bushings. Both sides seem have the proper(or close enough) diameter for the press fit bushings past the rings. I am assuming that when I press the bushings in, they will line up properly. The bushings will be pressed into the new rings first, then pressed in to the bobtach . I have a feeling that some previous owner tried something like this on the worst side, but did it poorly. =-Richard

The previous owner of mine drilled the bosses out and the arms too and put 1 1/4” bolts through it....... So i had to start from scratch. But it's been working great for many years now.
Take your time welding it to prevent it warping and i'm sure it will be fine.
