I am trying to replace the 2 hoses that run from the hydraulic pump to the drive motors on each side of the bobcat. The hoses are the ones that are part solid metal pipe (at the pump) and part flex hose (at the drive motors). The ones that go from the drive motor on one side to the hydraulic pump on the opposite side. I have removed the hose and sensor on top of the pump, the hose that runs from the tank to a port on the right side (while sitting in the bobcat), and the hose that goes to the hydraulic filter in back. These parts seemed to be in the way. I have detached the 2 large hoses at each drive motor. I have detached the left side hose connection at the pump. Right side hose I can not get to yet due to the other hose preventing me from getting a wrench on it. questions: 1. what parts need to be removed to get these hoses out? 2. How do you remove the metal bracket that is part of the steering linkage that runs along the left side of the pump. I saw one post that suggested parts needed to be pressed on/off to get this off. Is this true? 3. Any other parts that you suggest I replace while in here. I am planning to replace the hydraulic fluid. Thanks in advance! Brian

I think you need to pull the pump to get the hoses off, there is a lot of stuff in the way and clamps at the back to stop it moving.
I have had a machine that had a hose replaced, they cut the tube line off and brazed a new fitting and got a rubber hose made to fit from it to the motor

Just got them out but I may have done it the hard way. The clamp on the hard line was missing on my bobcat. Had to pull the 2nd high pressure line on the left side and remove the steering bracket also on the left side. Then I could get them out. What is involved on pulling the pump?

Pulling the pump is 4 mounts and some hoses.
If you managed to get them off without, leave it in place.
Getting a new hose crimped to the hard tube line may be difficult, brazing on a male fitting to it did the job for the one I had.

How much does the pump weigh? Is it something you can pickup by hand? Having it out would make the install of the 4 high pressure hoses easier. I needed a 6' breaker bar on my wrench for some of them. Currently having a problem with the bigger of the 2 solid line hoses. It appears they put the bends in the pipe backwards and it does not fit. Hoping bobcat agrees and will ship me another one.

You can pick it up by hand, remove the hoses at the drive motors and pull it out, it's heavy, but one person can lift it.
Look up my profile and email me, i'll see if i can give you better info in an email, i don't get on the forum as often as i used to.
