i have found a great deal on a 722, but the main reason i would want this machine would be to add an augur, but it dosnt have the hydr. hookup for the augur. how much trouble and money to add the aux. hydr.? any help would be appreciated.

It will cost a reasonable amount more, for the trouble, you're better off looking for a newer machine...
The control valve if it does not have 3 segments will need to be replaced with one that does, then you will need the lines from the control block to the bottom of the lift arms, it will add up quickly.
I know its not what you want to hear, i'm sure it could be done, but it will be a lot of work and money.

If its a standard flow attachment, yes they will. Be it an auger or excivator attachment, but high flow like road profilers it will not run.

I think that the older bobtach won't accept the newer attachments.......Not positive about that, but I'd make sure to measure and compare with something newer before buying the machine.

Have a 963 and a 722, Bobtach is the same, standard. Neat thing about the 722, it has a two speed. About 10gpm of hyd flow. Compared to the newer machines engine compartment, the 722 has allot of room to work, easy access....minus having to tilt the cab with a jack, but that will be fixed soon enough. Mine also has the aux hydraulics front & rear. If you want pics, holler. Good luck -Scott

The engine info I've read is the 98ci Ford industrial engine is similar to the 71-74 Pinto motor and 78-80 Fiesta. Probably not the carb, cam or compression though. An engine builder looked up parts and they are available. You can always swap in a Diesel, there's plenty of room.
