My 721 has a full charge on the battery but when I turn the key to start the light comes on and goes out when the key is turn to the starter engage position. There is a clicking sound in the switch box in the cab that is made when the key is turned and the light goes out. No starter engagement at any point. This started after I had a charger on the battery.

You will have to have somebody turn the key to start while you check to see if the small + Wire at the starter solenoid has power. If it does your solenoid is not making contact, if no power work backwards checking at every junction to see where power stops.

I have no one here....... The clicking is in the cab ignition box and not at the rear engine compartment............ It baffles me why it was fine prior to putting the charger on and then it goes bad............ but it's easy to baffle me.

Are you sure the battery is good? it may have taken a full charge, but the power may drop right off when it gets loaded down. Can you jump the starter to confirm the battery will spin the motor?
You should be able to feed power to the starter, there will be a small wire going to the solenoid on the top the starter. If it spins, you probably have a wiring issue between the starter solenoid and key switch, possibly the connection between harnesses.

How do I jump the starter?? This would be great as I have snow to move and if I could get it started and running temporarily I could deal with the wiring later in the comfort and heat of my shop rather than in a snow bank............ As to the battery it is new. I only put a charger on it because I had run it down a bit trying to start it due to no fuel issue (clogged screen)........ And a big THANKS for the replies. It is greatly appreciated as usual.

I also just noted a wire off the engine oil pressure switch. But it could have been off for ages as far as I know. Looks black or really dark blue.

most solenoids have a large red + cable attached and another large wire attached to the solenoid also which goes into the body of the starter. to jump it you take a tool usually a screwdriver and make contact across these two wires. If the starter and battery are good it will engage and spin. At least that is how I do it.

I hear you on the by myself , I get that alot myself , what I have done on some long distance testing like checking for voltage at the starter while turning the key would be use a long piece of wire from the terminal I wanted to test so I could sit in the seat , get a ground in the cab and turn the key and be able to see the results , use a set of battery jumper cables if you have no wire -------------

That's something I actually never thought of. I think I'll make up a ten foot piece of wire with a alligator clip on it so I will remember it next time.

Jumped the solenoid and it turns over.................. Pulled the sediment screen off the lift pump and turned it over with the bottom off the lift pump. There was no fuel that dripped from the lift pump at all.............. Is the main filter before the lift pump?? It looks like it's after. Which would be dumb as heck.... Why subject the fuel pump to contaminates?......

How cold is it there? You have winter fuel and antigel in the fuel right? Maybe a dumb question but a lot of people were caught by the really cold weather with the wrong fuel in the line.

It was 7 F this AM and 19F now................ Not a dumb question at all. The fuel is winterized blend and in addition I have Power Service in there too. No wax evident at all in the lift pump sediment bowl. I will check the main filter canister later.
