OK............. I got 8" of new heavy white crude on the ground and the Bobcat down!!.......... No Start with no fuel at where the rubber line attaches to the bango fitting on the injection pump at the motor............. No fuel when I crank it with that line off.......... Clogged filter??? Good fuel is present and plenty of it................... Can I just put a secondary tank above the motor to get it going temp?

Alright , I bee's on my fourth frozen Margaritta but will give it a try , hup , some of them banjo fittings have a screen built into them , ususally if they do it is the fitting at the lift pump --------another thought maybe it is your run/stop solinoid thats is acting up , you can take it off the block and run the machine without it and kill it with your finger in the hole , if you are scarey use a screw driver and not your finger ------sure you can run on an external tank , just remember part of the fuel is unused and returned to tank , I have seen people use an external tank and eventually over flow their fuel tank , hup!

I just need to get it going before the next cold snap which starts tonight. If I don't get it into the shop today it's stuck out there for over a week for sure as temps are heading below zero soon........ Starting it and getting it in would be huge.

If you really need to move it into the heated shop, you could try and by-pass the fuel tank by using a bottle and hose to the injector pump. Get it going and move it.
It sounds like a clogged filter or gelling fuel. How is the hand primer? is it stiff or is there simply nothing when you squeeze it?

UPDATE................ There is fuel to the injector pump........ I removed the line off the banjo nut and sucked several mouthfuls of diesel out (yuk). Cut off an inch of rubber line to insure a good end............ the primer off the lift pump is fine and fuel comes out when primed.......... But no go when I reinstalled the line. Despite priming it after the line was on.......

You have the throttle forward right? silly question i know, but the way they shut down is by throttling back to stop all fuel flow to the injectors.
If you are getting fuel to the pump but not the injector lines, it has to be a throttle issue, lift pump or injector pump. I would try installing a hand primer, this will ensure the lift pump is holding pressure. Get someone to crank the engine while you hold pressure on the primer bulb to give it positive fuel pressure to the pump.
Hopefully thats all it is.

Thanks for responses..................... The lift pump is new and has maybe 20 hours on it.................. I will try the primer bulb idea....... and yes, I moved the throttle lever to the half way point......... Cold snap is here!!!! 30 MPH with -20F wind chill and driving snow....... been snow bound for 3 days and no chance of getting out today as the grader won't go out yet.
