When we try to get the backhoe on the brackets on the machine it wont go back far enough its about a pins width from latching. Do we have the wrong brakets? 2001 Bobcat 773 G Turbo, Bobcat 709 Backhoe Attachment

sorry for late response. i used to have a 709. The first time i tried hooking up i couldnt get it to go back enough. what i found out would work would be to tilt make sure the backhoe is retracted all the way. get in the machine in tilt the hoe attachment all the way down (left pedal) and retract full speed. the momentum usually got it back far enough.

Did you solve the problem? I am running into the exact same issues.

Both of you have the same backhoe and same machine? If so it sounds like the bracket is wrong that should latch with some ease. Who sold you the brackets? Look at the this thread comments you may see your answer in other posts.

Our 909 we get it attached to the plate then hook up hydraulic so we can use the backhoe to push down to help seat the brackets back while tilting plate back. Different brackets but Same type of challenge.

Thanks guys! I have contacted Bobcat manufacturer about this issues and waiting on their reply. I am gonna try to use another machine to push it for now and see how it turns out.

I have a Bobcat S150 and the 709 backhoe
Rarely do I get it secured on 1st try. I do find speed tilting back helps.
It usually takes 2 to 3 trys to get it to catch. I was considering grinding down top of brackets but haven't got there yet. I have not tried hooking up hydraulics 1st then try using hoe to push unit back to secure it. Food for thought.
