6675 no battery need to lift arms

My battery exploded on my 6675 yesterday. I need to lift the arms to extract the mess and replace it. Good solid jumpers will not pass the current thru the cables to start it, but will run the electrical. I had a neighbor sit in the seat and press the "up" pedal while I attempted to lift the arms with another loader. We just lifted the skidder. The neighbor has a newer NH and the system has worked for him. Any ideas? The factory service manual is clueless

Can you remove a pin to the lift arm rams? then try lifting.
You may need to put a jack under the rear to stop it tilting back.

On our 250 we had to unhook hyd hoses and then jack up on the arms on the back of the machine. Be careful I put a big steel pipe thru the arms and cab as a fail safe and I still was nervous till I got it done
