Hey guys, haven't seen much info on the web so figured I'd post. I'm working on a diesel swap using a kabota v2203 4 cylinder out of a refer unit into my bobcat 642b. The original motor over heated and blew the head gasket/cylinders were pretty scored up. And this was a cheaper option than rebuilding. So far so good I have the engine installed and running. I have a lot of small things left to hook up, like the fuel tank, alternator, and wiring to the starter. It is all temped in for now, and so far it seems pretty good. All in so far my total money invested is $400 for the engine, and $140 to get the fly wheel machined.

Awesome job, wish reefers were that cheap over here!
The new engine will have loads of power, just watch you don't over heat the hydraulic system as it won't bog down like the old engine did.
