The previous owner of my 642 had it cobbled together terribly. Still trying to figure out how things are supposed to go together. An electric fuel pump has been added and there is a crossover hose on the mechanical fuel pump. There seems to be a solenoid or part of one hanging by the wires near the fuel line. Also there is some type of electrical device on the carb that has been unhooked. The unit kinda smells like it leaks gas when its sitting in my shop but I can't figure out where it's coming from. Any info on the solenoid or shutoff will sure help.
