hi appreciate any help. i blew a line long time ago fixed it. then it blew seal out of front vane pump. idk if i mixed a line up on port or not. fixed seal blew again. sat long time. fixed seal again. it had been leaking from loose port so had been empty for some time. got here filled with oil and started it. nothing. dont know if i got something turned around in vane or what. took apart switched a few things still nothing. cleaned filters and all new fluid. vane looked pretty good but am sure nothings pumping. no pressure in port at all. idling it will moan sometimes and try and move for short periods of time. this machine worked great before line burst. its crazy?

I think at this point you should treat it as though you have a system full of air. I believe the book says to block it up off the ground so pumps and motors can operate with least resistance while working the air out. If you put a load on it with insufficient oil something will be damaged.

hi. i jacked her up. checked vane pump again it looks pretty good. started it up ran her for sometime. wheels move in all directions fine but no power can stop them by hand. nothing out of tilt and lift. wont do anything. so the vane pump sucks from the hose and into the port? am i right? doesnt seem to be pumping. does the vane supply the pressure for the port block. i have pressure gage on port. have no pressure. if you can explain or a picture of the lines on the port block where they come from and vane pump would be nice to make sure is correct. some pics of vane pump and explaination of proper way it should be put together would be helpful. bout ready to sell it. thanks for any help. jim

You need a service and maint manual, contact Old machinist here through his profile e-mail.. If he doesnt have it go to the dealer and buy one they are less than 100 bucks and money well spent. It will have all the hydraulic routing in it.

hi. got the vane specs. checked im sure its in the right way. im getting nothing out of it. maybe a little fluid when i loosen outlet bolt but not much. the drive works normally but real weak. i have it off the ground. no lift or tilt.it had blown hose then seal in the vane pump blew twice. i remember it cranked little hard. maybe vane was stiff then seal blew again. if i had seal not quite right? could it stop the pressure plate from working right? i checked quickly direction of shaft it turned .tried turning it by hand seams tight. is there a chance i tore key on the shaft. stills turns till there a little pressure on it from rotor vane and then not turning?and pumping up. any help on this be much appreciated thank you jim

ok lines were crossed. work good for some time, then drive motors were leaking into chain case. think overpressurized. been giving me fits. after many gallons of oil. decided to fix it. right before started slipping and not wanting to move. didn't think much of it. put it back together. doesn't want to move at all. when looking at machine left motors turns weakly. side a just changed seal. clean filters 10 n 40 microns. full oil nothing. tilt and lift works fine. doesn't seam to have enough pressure on vane . loosened bolt while running. not impressive stream while running. I think vane has to put out so much before hydrastats engage?

When you cleaned the bronze filter was there any metal debris in it? After the vane pump fills the hydro pumps it only supplies make up oil to them. Did you take the drive motors apart at all?
