Has anyone here noticed how close the choke lever in the back engine compartment comes to the starter selonoid?? Mine touches the thing right about where the hot lead from the battery connects. Is this a normal thing or do I need to change something? I wrapped electric tape around the lever for now. Steve

I went and looked , on mine the rod connects to a bracket that connects to a rod that operates the choke. the bracket does almost contact the solenoid body which is no problem and the closest any part of it gets to the battery connection is about 2 inches. If yours is the same I think it is o.k.

The red wire that comes from the battery and connects to the selonid is about 1/16 " from the arm that goes up and down. It is so close to that connection it bothers me. I wonder if something is out of place?? Steve
