Hello Guys: I need a little help with my 632 BobCat, Ford Gas Engine. The skidsteer operates good, beside the front right tire. I was running it and noticed the front right doesn't pull. It will not operate going forward or backwards. I did notice the right rear tire operates fine. It has me puzzled, not knowing if it's a broken drive chain on that side? When I purchased the steer, someone had the hydro lines hooked up incorrectly. You had to push the levers backward to go forwards. If you wanted to turn right, you pushed the right lever. Anyway, I have the lines ran where everything operates correctly, besides the right front tire. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is rather unusual, as I would imagine that the drive would be similar to the 700 series, which as you can see has both wheels connected by the final drive chain, so if it broke, neither wheel would get drive.
Perhaps the sprocket has stripped where it splines to the axle, or more likely, backed off so it isn't engaged, that's all I can think of that would allow drive to the rear only.
When you pick up the front wheels with the bucket, how easily and what noises does the RF axle turn? And does the LF have just a bit of back and forth that's indicative of a chain drive? Hopefully someone who has the book for that model will chime in with more info.

Thank you for the reply. I noticed yesterday that the right front is almost like in a free spin (very easy to spin the tire back and forth). The left front seems like it has tension on it when I raised the front bucket.

How do I get inside to where the chains are? Is it a pick job.

I don't have very much in the 600 series info, but it looks quite similar to the 700 series. Between the wheels there is a rectangular panel with a lot of bolts, that gives you access to that side of the chain case / hydraulic reservoir. Putting one side up on jackstands and yarding the wheels off will give you plenty of room to have a look see in there.

If you'd like, I can send you the final drive section for the 700 series, click on my username for email. Interesting to note...nowhere in the troubleshooting section is there any mention of one wheel not driving which indicates that it's an exceedingly rare occurrence or you have a different drive arrangement.

The 632 has the same "bowtie" drive chain design as the 730 and 740 series machine, totally different than the 700/720. It will have a drive motor between the front and back wheels with a double sprocket. From there the power goes to the front wheel and back wheel via two seperate drive chains. Sounds to me like the one to the front wheel has broken or come off somehow. Seeing as it's the front one it should be reasonable to do, you take the cover off the chaincase to get at it. Might need a stiff wire to fish the new chain around but should be doable. I'll dig out my manual in a little while and try to upload a picture or 2.
